The only reason we went here for breakfast was because of yelp reviews. Amazing. Only 4 seats inside, but plenty of seating outside. Sidewalk and canal seating. May be the best breakfast I have ever had. Friendly staff. Omelette and cappuccino were spot on. Large portion meals for sure.

Server was a little overwhelmed and it took a while to get served, but the food was great and an incredible value. My sandwich was enough for 2 to share (but I ate it all!)

I enjoyed my Broodje from here! This was a short walk from my hotel so I grabbed a mozzarella, tomato and pesto sandwich along with a freshly squeezed OJ and a cappuccino to wash it all down. The sandwich was big and filling. They also added red bell pepper in addition to the tomatoes in my sandwich. The freshly squeeze OJ was so delicious. I drank it very quickly. Very nice employee who was taking our orders and brought us our food. Good place to try a broodje or any of their breakfast items.

Excellent food, service and value! Highly recommended They have great canal side seats I had the open faced tuna melt which I couldn't finish due to the generous portions - small line to be seated but it moves fast

This place is really great! The concierge at my hotel recommended this place when I asked for a good non-touristy place to get a real Dutch lunch. When I went it was raining. I asked what the wait was for inside the restaurant and the lady said 30 minutes, so I sat on the terrace under the big table umbrella. Within 10 minutes, when a party from inside left, the lady invited me to move inside - after I already ordered - which I really appreciated (I did move). I ordered a tomato mozzarella pesto broodje and a hot chocolate. The broodje was glorious - it was fresh bread with melted cheese, crispy at the edges, and topped with tomato, onions, sweet pepper, pesto, and spices. It came with a side salad topped with an olive oil dressing with a kick. The hot chocolate came really hot, so be careful. It tastes like a hot chocomel, but the hot chocolate snob in me still liked it because it is a bit thicker than milk, and quite flavorful - what I like in a hot chocolate. When I still felt it was too hot to drink after 10 minutes, I asked if they had cold milk or ice they could put in to cool it down, but instead they put cold chocomel, so the flavor was not diluted! This is a small place that feels like a busy bakery but both the food and the service are excellent! If you're ever in Amsterdam, this place is worth a visit.
